So yesterday I went to Chicago to attend Matt's party, a.k.a. Edgewater Gala II. Gala I was back in June and was more-or-less NU-dominated, but here there were more Loyola students.
Students from the Illinois Institute of Technology and Northwestern University interact:
I come back to Evanston about 1:30 AM and go to sleep, only to wake up about 2 hours later to hear loud music coming from the room next door. I wake up and bang on the door but no one responds. I do this over and over and then give up and go back to my room and back to bed. Then another kid on my floor comes over, opens my door without knocking first, and asks "Is someone in this room going crazy?" I apologize for waking him up, but it turns out I didn't wake him up at all. Then he tells me the people next door aren't home, I told him I didn't know that but the music is really loud and annoying and I needed it to stop. He gives me some ear plugs and I tell him I'll return them in the morning. He says, "You can keep them, I don't need your earwax." Luckily the guy who lives next door returns and turns off the music. Why did he program it to begin playing at 4 am? Today he left a note of apology on my door. I don't need an apology, just a promise not to let it happen again. I'm tired of the freshmen who live on my floor and how they disrespect me, even if it's inadvertent.
